EU 2020 Strategy: Raising the Game!

lisbon strategy logoIn 2000, under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council, the EU launched its ambitious 'Lisbon Strategy' to become "the world's most dynamic knowledge-based economy by 2010"...

With the 2010 deadline drawing nearer, the European Commission and national governments have begun to reflect on replacing the Strategy. EU leaders are expected to adopt the revised strategy in March 2010.

Pat Cox, Maria João Rodrigues, John Monks and Philippe de Buck together with the European political parties’ leaders are meeting on March 3 to discuss the economic and social future of Europe in the briefing organised by the European Movement International (EMI).
